Dear Arizona Branch Members:

On September 22, 2009 Screen Actors Guild announced the election results for the Arizona Branch elections.

Vice President Southern Arizona Steve M. deFrance, Member at Large Southern Arizona George Yonan, current Council Members at Large Marla I. Price and Jonathan Simpson, and current Alternate Council Members Linda Rae Jurgens, Elaine Moe, and Stephen Nathenson along with National Director Steven A. Fried welcome the following newly elected candidates to the Arizona Branch:

Long time member of the Arizona council, acting teacher, voice technician, dialect coach and mentor to hundreds, Elayne Stein passed away suddenly on June 30, 2009. Dear to so many SAG and AFTRA members, Elayne will be remembered for her spirit, joy for living, and her untiring energy. Her devotion to her students and their success was unwavering.

As you know, we have all been fighting to save the Motion Picture Tax Incentive Program (MOPIC).

Dear Arizona SAG Member:

We need your help! Please take action right now! Please email and call the Governor and your three legislators right now! Tell them not to cut the Motion Picture Tax Incentive. We could lose our Tax Incentive with the stroke of the Governor's pen! 

Bobby Ball was cast in her last role on March 22, 2009.

Born Roberta Helene Scott, Bobby was an amazing woman who led a colorful life and was never afraid to hit things head-on.

A talented lady, she began her show business career with the famed Tatterman Marionettes. Then she met and married Jack Ball, moved to Arizona with him, and immediately broke into the talent market; this time as an agent.
