Welcome to the Louisiana/Mississippi region, where the film industry is thriving as a major hub for studio and independent production. Our diverse locations range from bayou to bustling urban landscapes, sleepy Southern towns to city skyscrapers. You’ll find our professional talent pool appearing in such projects as The Dukes of Hazzard, Mad Money, Runaway Jury, and Ray.

In 2007 we celebrated our most prolific production year, and welcomed SAG staff member Jason Tomlinson, who is based in New Orleans and travels throughout our region to assist members and visit production sites. Our 2008 initiatives include increased member contact via SAG informational meetings as well as the introduction of iActor, the online casting database exclusively for union members, to the production community.
