The Hollywood Division Board of Directors is composed of 55 elected members. There are 33 National Directors and 22 Alternate National Directors. The 1st National Vice President chairs the Hollywood Division Board meetings and proceedings. (National Board Meetings are chaired by the Screen Actors Guild President)

The Hollywood Division Board of Directors sets policy for local initiatives and sends recommendations (advisory motions) to the National Board of Directors for consideration of matters of national concern along with populating local committees. It also appoints members to serve as Hollywood Division representatives on national committees (subject to the approval of the National Executive Committee or National Board) and as divisional delegates to outside organizations, including the Pension and Health Plans, SAG Foundation and Industry Advancement Cooperative Fund (IACF).
