Actor’s Equity Free Health Fair is November 11

When: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., Wednesday, November 11, 2009

Where: Equity Council Room 14th Floor at the Equity Offices, 165 West 46th Street

A free Health Fair will be held in the Council Room on the 14th Floor at the Equity offices, 165 West 46th Street, on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is sponsored by Better Wellness and You (BWAY) and The Actors Fund.

There will be free flu vaccinations, screenings, bodywork, nutrition and health insurance information, and mammograms. No reservations are required for the Fair, but participants for flu shots must be signed in and registered by 2:30 p.m. Reservations are necessary for the free mammograms, which are provided by the American Italian Cancer Foundation and Multi-Diagnostic Services Inc. to uninsured women age 40 and older. Also, the Mobile Mammography Van will be taking appointments for December 30 at the Hirschfeld Clinic location, 475 West 57th Street. Programs and services are subject to change and some services may be offered on a limited basis, so arrive early enough to participate.
