Because of the inherent complexities of agency relations today, SAG and AFTRA (the “Unions”) have received numerous requests from members in both the Virginia Beach and Washington, D.C. areas to clarify the status of the Unions’ agency franchises, and Union members’ obligations there under. 

Hello DC-Baltimore SAG Members:

As you probably know, the TV Theatrical ballots will be mailed out May 19 and must be received at the assigned post office box no later than 5:00 p.m. (PDT) June 9. This contract will come to you with a recommendation to vote "YES" from both the Screen Actors Guild National Board of Directors and the recently constituted Negotiating Task Force that helped bring these negotiations to a conclusion.

In just 6 days the Maryland General Assembly will decide to put our Film Production Tax Credit Bills to a vote. The proposed legislation would make Maryland competitive again, help to keep our jobs local, and stimulate our economy immediately. If you care about maintaining and growing the film and television industry in Maryland - YOU  MUST ACT NOW!
