Overview

The Screen Actors Guild Film Society is a nonprofit organization created to allow actors to observe other actors’ performances in order to improve their own skills, and to raise awareness of current productions.

Membership is by application only and accepted on a yearly basis. The membership fee is $90 for a full season and guarantees 26 screenings for member and a guest. Parking passes can be purchased in advance for an additional fee but will also be available for sale from the SAG Cashiers Window beginning Monday, May 18th.

The new season begins in May and runs through April 2010. All SAG Hollywood Film Society Screenings are held at the DGA Theatre unless otherwise noted.

Membership

Membership Fee

For an annual membership fee of $90, members are guaranteed a minimum of 26 first-run feature films at the Directors Guild of America. For the last two seasons, the Hollywood Film Society has screened more than 50 films per season at the DGA--that works out to less than $2.00 per film. And remember, your Film Society membership card admits you plus a guest to the screenings. Secured parking may be purchased for an additional fee.

Screenings

Your Film Society membership card permits you to view a film one time only. To ensure that all Film Society members have a chance to see the film, repeated viewings are not permitted under any circumstances.

You must present your membership card to gain admittance to all screenings. Your SAG Film Society Membership card is not transferable. Use by a non-member will result in the cancellation of Film Society membership.

Doors will close promptly at the scheduled screening times or when theater reaches capacity. No latecomers will be admitted.

Please be advised that the DGA and other screening facilities strictly prohibit recording devices in the theatres. Food and drink are also not permitted. Film Society members and their guests may be subject to bag and personal item search for, and/or confiscation of, such items.
