Los Angeles and New York, (March 13, 2010) - Screen Actors Guild National Board of Directors today approved 78 percent to 22 percent a joint bargaining agreement with American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) for the negotiation of successor agreements for the contracts covering theatrical motion pictures and primetime dramatic television. The AFTRA National Board of Directors previously approved joint bargaining at its meeting February 27, 2010.

In a coordinated effort between SAG's New Media department, iActor, SAGIndie and the local SAG Dallas/Ft. Worth Branch office, SAG staffers are headed to SXSW.

Held annually in Austin, TX, SXSW is considered one of the world’s premiere film festivals. The festival includes film premieres, informative panels and workshops, a trade show and networking events. SAG staffers will be presenting and hosting a number of panels on topics ranging from casting productions online to the growth of new media in our industry.

Following White's SAG Life Achievement honor in January, a Facebook campaign was launched imploring SNL to book the funny lady as host. The campaign grew even stronger following White's Super Bowl Snickers commercial.
