87.27% SAY NO WAY TO THE AMPTP’S JUNE 30 OFFER
Los Angeles, September 17, 2008 - The Screen Actors Guild National Negotiating Committee met today and was given the results of the SAG mail-in poll by National Executive Director and Chief Negotiator, Doug Allen.
87.27% of the10,298 SAG members who responded to the poll said the union should continue bargaining in an effort to achieve a fair contract. 12.73% of those who responded said they would accept the terms presented in the AMPTP’s June 30th offer to SAG.

Screen Actors Guild Releases Official List of Candidates for National Board Seats
Los Angeles (August 5, 2008) -- Screen Actors Guild today released the official list of candidates for its upcoming national board elections. Ballots for all eligible SAG members in Hollywood and New York will be mailed on August 19. The ballots will be tabulated on September 18 and the election results are expected to be announced that evening. Approximately 1/3 of the total 69 national board seats are open for election this year.

LOS ANGELES (May 2, 2008) – Screen Actors Guild reached an agreement with producers of non-broadcast, educational and industrial material Wednesday for an 18-month extension to the 2005 Producers-Screen Actors Guild Codified Industrial and Educational Contract.
This contract covers performers rendering on-camera and voiceover services in sales programs, educational and training videos, informational and promotional messages heard over the telephone or in stores, and other projects that are exhibited outside of the traditional broadcast arena.

LOS ANGELES (February 20, 2004) – A joint national board of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) today strongly endorsed an agreement reached earlier this week with producers for a one-year extension of the current TV/Theatrical contract set to expire on June 30. By a vote of 79 percent to 21 percent, the joint board approved sending the extension agreement to the full memberships of both unions for ratification, expected during the next 30 days.

Los Angeles, Apr. 17, 2008 -- Screen Actors Guild and The Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers met in a third straight day of talks on Thursday. The parties have adjourned for the day and will reconvene in separate caucuses Friday morning and will resume negotiations at 1 p.m.

“...that AFTRA be given the opportunity to join Screen Actors Guild in Phase I joint negotiations, provided that notice of acceptance is received within 72 hours.”

Los Angeles (March 29, 2008) – AFTRA President Roberta Reardon and AFTRA national officers, including Susan Boyd Joyce, Denny Delk, Bob Edwards, Matt Kimbrough and Shelby Scott, as well as others, upon conclusion of their national meeting, entered Screen Actors Guild's national board meeting today and reported their board's effective termination of the Phase One agreement between the two unions. Screen Actors Guild stands in solidarity with its members who will appear on the Dateline Golden Globes special this Sunday. SAG television and motion picture stars have publicly expressed their steadfast support for striking writers since the strike began in November.
